How did NPG get started and what were your motivations?
Due to increasing health concerns resulting from excessive amounts of antibiotics used in poultry farming, our concerns for food safety brought together a group of world-class scientists, veterinarians, businesspeople and farmers dedicated to producing healthier poultry which gave birth to Natural Poultry Group (NPG) in 2005.
One of NPG’s founders Mr. Alejandro Galero, a 3rd generation poultry farmer from Israel, decided to implement the basis of traditional Chinese medicine which as we know its foundation is to first find the source of problem and then by using natural plant extracts and herbs, not only manage to cure disease but also prevent them from developing.
Shortly after we began our research, NPG developed a REVOLUTIONARY formulae consisting of probiotic and prebiotic bacteria’s with a combination of natural additives from plant extracts and herbs, which that substitute for commercially used antibiotics and chemicals.
BY 2006 the NPG SOLUTION was completed and ready for commercial production.
We are the real deal here at NPG, we care about you and we welcome your emails and telephone calls. We love receiving your emails, answering your questions and getting feedback on our products. If you have any question just email us at info@npg.hk.
Where are NPG’s farms located?
NPG’s farms are located in the city of Yantai, Shandong province.

What does “Natural Chicken” mean?
An NPG Chicken can be classified as a “Natural Chicken” according to standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). A natural chicken is one that is grown with no hormones, antibiotics or artificial additives, and undergoes minimal processing. NPG chicken products meet this standard and can be labelled as such.
What do you feed your chicken?
They eat natural grains including wheat, soya, maize and barley. Our feed contains no animal by-products and is 100% free of antibiotics and chemicals.
Why is NPG natural chicken better for my family and me?
From the viewpoint of holistic nutrition, there is no doubt that when we consume food grown under decent conditions that are as natural as possible, we get the maximum nutritional benefit. It is already known from researches that food in its natural form (fruits and vegetables for example) contains the maximum required quantity of nutrients in the most suitable constellation for us.
The same applies to poultry. Chickens that are grown naturally and receiving only vegetable food and without antibiotics, will be healthier and have a nutritional value that is most suitable for human consumption. Indeed, laboratory tests show that the nutritional value of NPGs chickens exceeds the value of chickens grown using traditional methods.
NPG chickens have higher levels of protein, omega 3, iron and has 30% less fat, its chemical free, its hormone free, its antibiotic free, it’s an ethical product because it’s better for the environment and we care about animal welfare and the benefit for you is that it TASTES SO MUCH BETTER.
Why is natural chicken more expensive than regular chicken?
As a natural chicken farmer we have to buy high quality chicken feed that has no animal by-products. This feed is almost 2 times more expensive than conventional chicken feed. We also feed our chickens with high quality natural additives that come from plant extracts, this helps us keep our chickens health and also strengthen their immune system so that if and when they become ill, their bodies are strong enough to overcome the illness naturally without administering antibiotics. This all affects the cost price of the product and we advise our customers that quality is more important than quantity.

How do I know if the chicken is really natural chicken and contains NO antibiotics or chemicals?
Throughout each cycle NPG submits chickens weekly for testing at SGS Laboratories. SGS Laboratories www.sgs.com  is considered the most reputable international laboratory with the highest testing standards. The test results confirm our chickens contain NO antibiotics or other harmful chemicals.
How are antibiotics administered in poultry?
According to a new report by the FDA, approximately 80 percent of all antibiotics used in the United States are fed to farm animals. This means that in the United States, only 20 percent of antibiotics, which were originally developed to protect human health, are actually used to treat infections in people.
In China, farmers mix antibiotics mostly by hand into the animal feed and water, which generally results in excessive medication. As a result, antibiotic resistance in the Chinese population has increased dramatically over the past few years.
What is antibiotics resistance and how does it happen?
Antibiotic resistance (as well as antimicrobial resistance) occurs when a microorganism develops the ability to resist the action of an antibiotic. Basically, the microorganism develops the ability to survive and reproduce in the presence (and dose) of an antibiotic that used to prevent these actions; this doesn’t really apply to an organism that was never susceptible to that antimicrobial.
Researchers believe that antibiotic resistance is caused by widespread use of antibiotics in food production systems. The more antibiotics are used in animals, the more we expose the organisms to the antibiotics and give them the opportunity to develop resistance.
